About The Vet House
The Vet House team includes attending physician Dr. David Millward Hopkins, nurses Kit, NY, Macy, Cass, and assistant Juju. We were formerly Dr. David Veterinary Health Services, and Dr. David has been serving pet owners in Hong Kong for over 20 years.
The Story of Dr. David
The attending physician, Dr. David Millward Hopkins, is from the UK. He came to Hong Kong by chance and gradually fell in love with the place. By chance, he came across a small white house in Sai Kung and decided to establish The Vet House so that what he loves to do can continue to happen in a place he loves.
Dr. David has dedicated his life to the health care industry. In the UK, he worked as a human osteopath and spent considerable time in wards caring for stroke patients. This experience led him to consider his future direction; having loved animals since childhood, he decided to work while pursuing a veterinary degree. After obtaining his veterinary license, he moved to Hong Kong to work treating pets.
Our expertise
With years of practical experience, Dr. David has developed unique medical methods in animal physical therapy, geriatric animal care, and palliative care, which he applies to every case at The Vet House.
We look forward to meeting you and your furry friends in this little white house in Sai Kung, and providing them with the most attentive care.

Life in Saikung
Saigon is not only the home of The Vet House, but also Dr. David's home!
Dr. David often strolls around Sai Kung, walking his dog and playing with the children. The Vet House was a small white house he stumbled upon while picking up his kids from school! Stepping inside, he was immediately drawn to the teahouse-like atmosphere. Walking up to the small rooftop, the view of the small open space in front of the house and the pedestrian path in front of the Green Pond Garden gave Dr. David a concrete idea for the prototype of The Vet House, which led to the creation of The Vet House we know today!
Sai Kung is truly a place we love, and one we'd love to recommend to everyone. Even if you're not looking for The Vet House, we highly recommend visiting this lovely coastal neighborhood!
